Participation Award (any class)

  1. All EAHA rules apply to the EAHA Youth Club.
  2. The Youth must be a member of the EAHA Youth Club to earn points. Annual membership dues must be paid to be eligible for year end awards from the EAHA Youth Club. Points will not begin to accrue until dues are paid.
  3. To qualify for a high point or reserve award, the Youth must show the same horse a minimum of eight (8) times in at least one qualifying class. To qualify for a participation award, the Youth must show the same horse a minimum of eight (8) times in any one class. All classes qualify a Youth for a participation award.
  4. Points will be awarded in accordance with the EAHA points rule.
  5. Points will be kept on a one horse - one rider combination ONLY.
  6. An EAHA Youth may win only one high point/reserve award per show season.
  7. No Youth may show a stallion.
  8. No substitution of horses will be allowed.
  9. Each Youth that shows the same horse a minimum of eight (8) times in at least one class will receive a participation award.
  10. Saddles will be awarded in all riding categories, if there are sufficient funds to purchase saddles. EAHA Youth will pay the cost of a basic saddle. Parents will be allowed to request a different style of saddle and will be allowed to customize the saddle at his/her own expense. The Gaited saddle winner may request a gaited saddle or a western saddle.
